Does anyone know the best way to send small video clips via email? I've
figured out how to capture snapshots from selected video frames and send
them as regular pictures, but I'm in the dark concerning the video itself.
Can I do this without the recipient requiring any special software?

help accessing main store folder
My computer crashed as OE was compacting files.
I lost a number of email messages to the trash which I had already
downloaded.
I didn't run the backup with OE backup express yet, and there were a
few messages I wanted.
I restored certain message folders from the trash. But I can't access
my main storage directory.

Bizzare behaviour: Reciepts
Hi there,
Randomly, when replying to an email that I have chose to ask for a
receipt, I have noticed in my sent items and the recipient has confirmed
that the word "Message" is imbedded in the first line of my email
alongside my salutation. Just moments ago, I changed the format from
html to text only. I don't know if this has any bearing

Can't create new folders
When I try to create a new folder in OE 6, nothing happens. This
problem started about a month ago. The advice offered to others who
have had this problem is to change your e-mail identity.
Unfortunately, I can't change my Identity because it is tied to my
business. Is there another fix that I can try?

sudden spell check problem
When I try to use spell check this message pops up:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-Rom or other removable disk
that is not available.
Insert the Microsoft Digatal Suite Anniversary Edition and click OK."
After getting rid of the message, another one pops up stating the inability
to complete the spell check.
I had downloaded the Digital Suite months ago. No problem until ...

Links won't open
A friend has OE 6 and when he receives an e-mail with an online link, it
won't open. It has to be copied and pasted into IE (6 also) in order to
view it. Is there some setting that needs to be changed?

Importing Netscape 7.1 email messages into Outlook Express 6
I am helping a friend switch from Netscape 7.1 browser/mail to Internet
Explorer and Outlook Express. We were able to set up her new mailbox with no
problems and are receiving new messages. We were not able to import her old

Archiving Emails
I've accumulated a large number of old emails, sorted into a tree of folders
and subfolders. I'd like to retain their contents outside of OE6,
preferably in a similar nested set of folders containing Word or Notepad
files. Is there any utility which would do this?

Problem with Inbox File
I recently opened Outlook Express 6 on my XP machine, and OE just
continually showed the hourglass. I couldn't use any of the functions or do
anything except crash out of it with Ctrl+Alt+Del.
I went into the OE store directory and moved Inbox.dbx to another location
and reopened OE. OE opened fine, no hourglass, and everything was fine. It,

Message Rules misbehaving
Hi,
I've a number of rules set up, most of which have some sort of criteria for
moving the email into a particular folder; they all end with "and Stop
processing more rules".
The last rule is designed to get rid of spam and is "If the message body
contains.." then a list such as viagra, replica, hoodia etc with the rule
configured to delete the messages.
Every now and again a mess...

Problem with name field
I recently imported contacts from Outlook into Outlook Express. The Name in
Outlook included: Title, First Name, Last Name.
In Outlook Express however, it appears that there is no separate Title field
to link with the Title field from Outlook. Is it possible to create a Title
field or any other new fields for the Address Book in Outlook Express (such
as Other Address, City).

msoe.dll error
we had one of our machines we were trying IE7 on, and decided to
uninstall it.
After several days we needed to use our OE6 on that machine and got the
msoe.dll error.
Any ideas please, good people and much thanks from us here at the Univ.
