Duplicate .DBX Files
This morning I noticed that all the old messages in my InBox had gone
altho' I wasn't that bothered .
Looking at the Store Folder I see that several folders have duplicates
like inbox,inbox(1) inbox(2) etc and some other folders have them as
well. The Sent Items has 6 The ones with the latest number suffixes
seem to be the latest ones .
I know how to reintroduce folders that have gone ...

Folder could not be displayed
I've recently had this reoccurring problem that after using OE6 several
times, by this I mean since the last restart of my computer, I get the
message "Folder could not be displayed" for my inbox. It says "Possible
causes are: Low disk space. Low memory." Neither of these are true. If I
restart the computer, it works fine for a few times. I have tried
everything I know to do..Deleted TIF'...

sending attachments
Hi,
Could anyone help me sort out my emails in outlook express 6.
Whenever i try to send an attachment(1)to anybody outlook express splits it
into 19(why 19?)parts and sends an empty attachment.
i can recieve attachments and ordinairy emails, and send text emails,
this only happens while trying to send attachments.
i can send the same attachment thruogh hotmail,no problems.

sometimes when I get a link for an email and I click on the link it opens in
Microsoft outlook instead of Outlook express. Is there a way so that all
mail is OE.

OE sending double
I have this unresolved intermittent problem with OE sending double for some

outlook express 6 rule's
i have created message rules but they do not work. I have dont this before
with no problems but my computer went in for repairs and they reinstalled
everything so it was like new. now ruels no longer work!
i took it back to the store and have been told that this is a problem with

Compacting messages
I have a PC running XP Home SP2. Outlook Express 6 is my email and
newsgroup program. I have two identities set up.
Occasionally, when switching between identities, a small window from
Outlook Express will pop up asking for my permission to compact messages. I
click OK, this action is performed very quickly, and my next identity is

Browser Problem
Scanned for Virus. ViRobot found one:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\SVKP.sys
ViRobot repaired (removed?) this.
But, my browser is still behaving strangely. Some websites load normally,

Problem Getting Hotmail into Outlook Express 6
I can use my hotmail account to send mail but it will not get my hotmail into
Outlook Express. Does anyone else have this problem and if so how did you
correct it? I have tried to set my hotmail up several times I know how to do

Making image files smaller for email
If I select a group of images in Windows Explorer, right click and select
Send To | Mail Recipient, Windows XP asks if I want to make all the image
files smaller for email purposes. It then opens Outlook Expresss, creates a
message and attaches the smaller files.

Autocomplete
My contacts in OE appear as Title FirstName LastName. However when I send
an email I start typing the FirstName. Is there any way to have
autocomplete to ignore the Title so that it will complete the name. It
seems that I cannot get rid of the Title in the name display after running
SYNC using Plaxo and Outlook. There is a Title field in Outlook. But it

Changing display names to a large number of contacts
I recently synchronised my OE address book with Plaxo and Outlook. Before
doing this the Name Display appeared as FirstName LastName. Now the
contacts appear as Title FirstName LastName. I have about 800 email
contacts. I tried to edit one of the contacts by going to Properties and in
the Display Box I changed from Title FirstName LastName to FirstName
LastName.

Migrate News Messages to Windows Mail
Is there any way to migrate all news messages from Outlook Express to
Windows Mail?
I copied all the files from the Idenitity directory but I do not know
how to import the new messages into Windows Mail.
I also migrated all existing news accounts but I do not know how to
migrate the actual news messages.

Autually the entire folder went missing and only the folders contents remain
in a .DBX file. (where did the folder go?) I managed to convert the DBX file
into a .txt file so I have confirmed all the data is still there, but in .txt
format using a tool I found online called http://www.mailnavigator.com/. I
opened the file using the tool and all the files are there, I just need to
import ...

Sent email messages not being saved in "Sent Items" folder.
When I send an email message, a copy should be deposited in the "Sent Items"
folder. For some reason it is not. My "Sent Items" folder contains nothing
but newsgroup messages that I have sent.

When I try to file>import>messages use Endora pro, OE4, OE5 program (tried
them all) and drill down to location of messages I get these alerts. I have
