Buffer overflow
When I tried to attach a picture to an email message in Outlook Express,
McAfee interrupted with the message:
c:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe
McAfee has automatically blocked a buffer overflow.
I had to allow this in McAfee before I could attach the picture.
When I look at the McAfee log the API column showed:
Kernel32.GetProcAddress

Outlook Express 6 Error Message
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
When I try to send a very simple, short E-mail with Outlook Express 6,
Windows XP, on Comcast High Speed Cable Internet,
I always get an Outlook Express dialogue box -- that states:
Some errors occurred while processing the requested tasks.
Please review the list of errors below for more details.

Transfer of dbx files between computers
I wish to move .dbx files from old computer with W98 and OE5 to new
one with XP and OE6. Should following the instructions on
www.insideoutlookexpress.com/backup/ do this safely and
satisfactorily, backing-up the folders onto a USB key for transfer?

posting problems in OE 6!
Hi. I am having problems posting messages to newsgroups in Outlook Express 6
using Windows Xp Home SP2! I write the messages and click send but my
messages do not appear even after reloading or resending. I know it normally
takes around 5 minutes to upload them to the server but this is not my case!

Huge amounts of spam today
Usually I get a level of spam that is irritating but only a few dozen per
day. In the last 3 hours I have 650 separate spam emails (most Mailer Daemon
headers) and which is no joke. Is there something going on out there or is
it just me that is being targeted I wonder.

Emails with Invalid Addresses
Recently someone has been sending me emails that have invalid addresses and
my Outlook Express cannot download them. Online I am able to delete them but
immediately I seem to receive another as I need to be able to download,
please help. Onetel is my provider. Thanks....

Mail backup
Hello
I have a problem with Win XP and need to do a total reinstall but need
to finf my mail inbox and outbox to save them elsewhere.
I have done an export and Windows went ahead and did its thing but I
cannit find any files.
Can anybody help or offer a suggestion.

outlook express 6 with hotmail and 3web ISP
Has anyone encountered issues with downloading Hotmail email into
Outlook Express 6 with 3web as the ISP? I just started having issues
with this a couple of days ago, it was working just fine for the past
2 months... I called 3web support and they told me since it's 3rd
party email, they can't support me. I'm set up with a Linksys router,
so I don't use any of the 3web software.
Any advice...

Ordering messages by To instead of From
Hi
Whereas most of the folders in Outlook Express have a column headed
"From", the Sent Items folder has a column headed "To".
As I like to keep all my emails, I have created subfolders (within
Sent Items) for previous years: 2006, 2005, etc.
However, they all have the standard "From" header, displaying the
somewhat redundant information that each email was sent by me. I

msimn.exe continues to run after I close OE
I am using OE6 / XP2 / IE7
I do not use mcafee products .
I do use an email scanner.
To close OE , I have to ctrl/alt/delete
Until I close OE in this manner , it cannot be reopened.

When will they be giving us an upgrade to Outlook Express?
So far Outlook Express hasn't really changed much, it would be nice if they
could create a new update for just Outlook Express version, with a little

Sending email via Outlook express
Hi all,
Last few weeks when I send email via OE, it goes into outbox and I receive
the error message pop.wanadoo.co.uk, server smtp wansdoo.co.uk ,Port25
socket error 10051 Ox800CCCOE
I have checked setting they are ok. If I disable Windows Firewall it goes
out of outbox. Normally it remains for some time then is sent out ?

Powerpoint files error in OE6
I cannot open a .pps file extension to an email in OE6. I followed the
instructions on the MS web page. I completely uninstalled the viewer,
loaded down a new copy of pps viewer 2003, and installed it. When I run
