Retaining replied to and other symbols when moving OE messages to Vista
Hello,
Moving all my messages to a new computer with Windows email, I tested
a small set. The messages get moved fine, but I lose all the "messages
being watched" and flag icons and the "replied" to or "forwarded" to
symbols, just the plain envelope open is showing, without the arrow
symbols.. This also used to happen sometimes when I move messages from
my laptop to my desktop after travel...

Can't Send or Receive
Possible duplicate...Can't send or receive. Verizon tells me this is an OE
issue.

Folder Bar Menu Delay
Is there a tweak/registry change to increase the delay time after clicking
the menu on the folder bar? Mine is so fast I can't even move fast enough to

To whom it may concern NO Connection
To everyone that answered my Question About not being able to connect to
Outlook express. And for those who still had questions for me..
Here are the answers.. I am running on WIndows Millennium Edition.
I connect to the Internet via Cable connection.
I am still unable to use outlook for out going mail..
I am at my wits end.
My cable company sugested that I up-grade my windows connection.....

Password
I am travelling overseas and may need to access my mail on other computers.
I do not need a password to access Outlook on my computer. Does that mean I
don't have one or is my computer set so that I don't need to enter it?
If I don't have one how do I access my account from another computer? Do I
create one, if so, how do I do that?
Any help appreciated(I am a computer mug!)

Leave on Server box getting unchecked
I use outlook express 6 and occassionally the box gets unchecked to leave on
server. I have it set to keep on server for 10 days and then delete. I
cannot figure out why this happens. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I am currently paying for my hotmail account. 19.99 per year. I have also
recently been using myy outlook express programs to check my e-mail, and it
has worked. Today when I did it, a box came up and said invalid, ID, and also

Cannot connect to the mail server
I have two PCs on a LAN. Both are running XP SP2, OE6, Zone Alarm and AVG.
One system fails to connect to the mail server and one works as it should.
The Error Number is 0x800CCC90.
Here is what I have done so far:
Gone to tool >accounts>mail>properties and compared the settings between the
two PCs. They are identical

E-mail in Outbox can't be deleted
I'm writing here because couldn't find a newsgroup for Windows Mail.
On a friend's computer with Windows Vista and Windows Mail, an e-mail is
stuck in the Outbox and it can't be deleted. When you try to move or delete
it, there is an error message. The message has been stuck there in the
Outbox for several days.

Sent Items
OE 6 automatically place the message into "Sent Item"
folder when sent.

Am useing OE in home edition. Opened up and received messages as usual but
when went to sent message it as me to sign in. Did so and still got same
message. Called internet provider and set new password with him. Still did

Mcafee Internet Security Center and Outlook Express SSL mail server setttings
Not sure what version of the Mcafee the problem customers have but I

When i am on line and want to send a email to someone and Outlook Express
comes up on the screen.
I hit send and get a message that says no Connection to internet is
currently avaliable to view Internet content that has been Saved on your
computer
Click Work Offline.
What am I doing wrong?

Opening .jpg pics
I'm using Hotmail and hve a small problem with pics. I get messages
from whoever and they contain 15 or 20 pictures. They don't put the
pics in the message. They come as attachements that I have to open
individually. Is there some way to open these all at once instead of

Weird--outlook express changes screen resolution/color
OK, been working with and on computers for a very long time, but I have
never encountered this one before. Every time I start outlook express 6
(with all updates), the screen resolution and the color changes to the
lowest settings (imagine safe mode)
We're talking 800 by 600 resolution and 256 colors.

Block Sender List Problems
My block sender list will not accumulate the names I block. It empties each
time I leave Outlook Express. It will accumulate blocked addresses while I am
in Outlook Express but as soon as I leave the names all disappear. Any

OutLook Express from another ISP
I recently had to handle my email from another ISP (west.cox.net), as
opposed to my usual (comcast.net).
Set up my mailbox just as I had at my home location, and while I was able
to receive my emails (via mail.comcast.net) the connection always failed
when trying to Send email (via smtp.comcast.net).
Of course, I was able to use the "internet" Comcast mail to get around
