OE Send/Receive popup window
Is there a way to completely hide the window? I have a client who
while writing an email, the box pops up, disappears, then the screen
goes to the inbox. While not normally a problem, he's been
complaining that when he's writing an email while starting at the
keyboard, it'll happen and won't notice. He'll think he's finished
the letter but it's happened and then has to click back to the em...

OE6 is Fickle
I have XP and OE6. When I first start the computer OE6 opens my email
perfectly. If I log off and log on as another user it won't open. If I
restart the computer it works ONCE and that is it! No matter which profile I
use, it opens the mail once and then gives me an error message of, The
connection to the server has failed. Account.....

OE5 - Can't delete messages
Never had this problem before, but since re-installing Win2000, now I can't
delete postings in any newsgroups. The delete key has no effect at all --
but works with email and all other programs.
Anyone take a stab at how to fix this?

Font appearance funky
I am having a strange problem viewing Comic Sans in received email messages.
The sender uses Comic Sans 10, but when I view the message it's Times New
Roman 10. I reply to the message, and the receiver still sees their original
Comic Sans. They reply back to me, and I see Times New Roman. If I use Comic
Sans in what I write, I can see it fine. It's only when the other person uses

Can't create independent gmail folder
I configured my outlook software to receive e-mail from my g-mail account,
but when I added that g-mail account, it was never added as a new folder or
new server on the left. When I added my university e-mail to outlook, an
independent folder popped up immediately with its own inbox and sent-mail box
and everything. But with the g-mail account, there's no independent folder,

Cannot create new email
In OE , when I click on 'create mail'. An entry appears next to the
start button stating 'New message'. Clicking on this does not open up
a page.
I also find that I cannot reply to emails I have received or get a
page up to send an email if I click on a contacts name
Any ideas please.

I changed my Archief adress and after that I returned to my original adres
of the Archief (Aplication>identities)

Compacting stops and gives an error message
Hi, I'm trying to compact my OE. I go offline, collapse the message "tree"
so "local folders" only is highligted. Then I hit "File --Folder--Compact all
folders".
Compacting is almost completed and then when it tries to compact the
"folders" it stops with a red x (I think) and the message " can't ....folder
in use"
I do have a lot of folders, but it always worked before. Please help...

OE server times out Error Number 0x800CCC19
I have been getting Error 0x800CCC19 for the last two weeks in OE. Before
that all was working fine. I have PC-Cillin and reduced incoming scanning
sensitivity to low. This did not help. Tried pinging POP3.email server, and
it timed out 4 times in a row, server receiving zero packets (100% loss).
This prblm doesn't appear to be at my end, as I haven't made any changes.
What to do?...

OE5 - SP3, SP4?
I just reinstalled Win2000 with OE5 and an application calls for running at
least SP3. I'm not big on upgraded or patching when everything's working
fine. Is there any advantage to SP4 over SP3.

I have been having many problems since i have installed my new router on my
