emails and outlook express

has anyone experienced problems on select object when events like onblur, onfocus, onmouseout, onmouseover are coded with javascript to change styles related to improve accesibility guidelines?. WordPerfect document shows artifact when opened inside IE 6.0.29..
Opening a WPD in the browser causes artifact to appear in the upper LH corner - it appears to be from the user-set tab settings. Is there a way, besides not opening the document in the browser, not using WP, or similar unhelpful suggestions, to make the browser represent the code correctly (in other words, make the artifact disappear), such as a WordPerfect add-on or ADVANCED setting in...

Use IE7 Rendering Engine within IE6
Is there any method of loading up the ie7 rendering engine into ie6? I'm a big fan of the IE6 UI, but I'd like to have the IE7 rendering engine because it works better with Ajax scripts, I've found. Is there a way to have the IE7 rendering engine as a plugin that could be enabled/disabled, perhaps? That would be best, because then I could use it for testing purposes... otherwise, I'd be happy...
