history problem
I am having a history issue.
1. I cannot select more than 99 days to be kept.
2. History does not allow me to access today's history.
3. I can only access history from 2 weeks ago.
Is there a way to repair the history folder?
Do I need to reinstall IE^

ActiveX object for system time in microseconds? CPU time?
Is there an Windows XP ActiveX object that can be used to determine
the system time in microseconds? Can the CPU time of the current
process also be measured?
I need this to do performance metrics for a JScript application - the
native Date() object only measures in miliseconds, which is not fine-
grained enough.

IE6 freezes when attempting to play live audio
I have recently encountered a problem with IE6 when I attempt to play live
audio from various news web sites. This can also occur with live news video,
but not always.

multiselect ignores overFlowStyle in IE6
I have a web site built using XML & XSL. One page displays a user's profile
which includes a time zone preference "multiselect" menu. Some of the time
zone selections are so long they stretch beyond the DIV they're located in.
So the overflowStyle(auto) property has been applied to the "multiselect". In
FireFox 2, a horizontal scrollbar is created. In IE 6, the overflowStyle is

Error Message when trying to upload pictures
Hi,
I am trying to upload some pictures onto a website but I keep getting this

Can't receive Net, but see traffic, and can VOIP
Suddenly I became unable to receive anything at home over the net. In
the past I've corrected this either with repowering or shutting down
XP - home (as opposed to my typical hibernation). But not this time :

Unable to access internet after sleep mode
I have a laptop and desktop going thru a router and cable modem. Laptop has
XP Pro and desktop has XP Home. Laptop has no problem. When I boot up the
dektop I can get connected to the internet just fine. If I walk away and it
goes into sleep mode (or whatever mode), I can no longer get to the internet.
I have to restart my machine to get connected again (what a pain!!). I hope

Can't download for IE6, connection reset
Good morning!
We can't download anything from IE 6. We have Windows XP Pro SP2,
fully patched. In IE, I click download and choose where to save. The
download looks like it starts OK, but the bar doesn't move and
eventually I get an error "The connection with the server was reset".

problems with iE& and powerpoint files
Sorry to post an IE 7 question here but I did not know where else. I am

iline autocomplete does not work Help???
Hello Everyone
Since I reinstalled X64 from fresh the inline autocomplete in IE6 does not
work even though it is enabled in the advanced setting in IE6. Any ideas
folks!!
I also have service pack 2 installed, it did not work before that and

Browsing and PC efficiency.
Generally when I browse through all the day my laptop seems slow in
the evening. Even removing temporary internet files, cookies and
history doesnt change the behaviour. I didnt see any invalid
process(es) running(checked from Process Explorer). But somehow after
restart it will be fast again. How do we explain this behavior. Please

Javascript does not work when served from a local machine
I have an HTML page test page with a button that when pressed should display
an alert. When I load the page using the full pathname in the address bar
(eg. c.\myhtml\simple.html) the page gets rendered but on pressing the button
the alert does not appear.
When the page is loaded using a network path name (eg.

Won't open
My internet explorer will not open. I try to open it and it will say

Very weird behavior when assessing Microsoft websites

Multiple JRE versions in different browser session
We have two web application that runs in the IE 6 SP1 browser. All of our
end users run Windows XP Pro SP2. App 1 can only run on Java Run Time 1.4X
