disabling caching of a particular file type
Hi guys,
Is it possible to disable the caching on the client of a particular file
type without disabling the cache completely and without having to delete all
the temporary files each time you log out?
I am particularly interested in nsc files from windows media multicasting. I

Address line URL entry removal

How can I remove individual URL usages after browsing to a website?
Sometimes I go to a partners website and prefer not leaving tracks while @ a

Internet Explorer 7
Hello: I have been using Internet Explorer 7 for two months now and friday
4/29/07, i went to my bank website but internet explorer7 wouldn't let me in.
I got an erorr message and it took the bankwebsite out.
I have tried using user agent string, which makes the bankwebsite think i

How to change view from 2-up to 1-up on PDF files.
For unknown reasons, my IE6 has switched to showing
PDF files in 2-up mode, i.e. 2 pages across, instead of
one across. How can I change the view back from 2-up

Terminal Server Authenciation
I'm trying to do server with authenciation by follow this article.

Waiting for Image Data
I am currently using IE 6.0, SP2.
When I click on a .JPG file to view it in IE I get a gray window that says
"Waiting for Image Data",, but the image never displays. Does anyone have
any idea what the problem and fix might be?

Problem with links....
This crossed linked from win98 gen-discussion.....
I'm running 98se, IE6 on a Dell box Started to have problems with links in
both
orig. window and or 'new' windows:
Data is being retrieved but windows freeze. Have to click on orig. window
for anything to change. Sometimes nothing happens, and I have to close
all windows and start from new.
Is this in any way related to "hosts" files...

ERROR MESSAGE
iexplorerHello,
when I use some page of internet Explorer suddenly appears the pop-up
window:"Iexplore.exe - Application error The exception unknown software
exception (0x0eedfade) occurred in the application at location 0x7c812a5b."
Either clicking OK or Cancel the page close itself without any other message
error.
Could you help me to understand how i can solve the problem?

Deleting Open File in Internet Temp File
I unwisely canceled an automatic installation from microsoft. The
installation is not stuck open in the internet temp file. I can delete all
temp files by going into %temp%, but cannot delete this open file. How can I
delete this open file. I am not able to download anything else right now....

back button exasperation
In my previous version of explorer, when I clicked a link to any
regular page I ALWAYS had the same interface -- menus, and BACK
BUTTON
was always in the upper left hand corner. Now, when I click on a link
I'll get a new page that replaces the previous page with no abillity

Text size problem
I recently switched over to a new machine with Win2000 from my older 98
setup and I seem to be having a problem with IE6 that I never had before.
Since I experience this in both Administrator and User mode, I THINK it's a
browser issue, rather than a hierarchal policy issue, so I'm starting here.
Basically the text increase/decrease option on the View menu seems to have
lost some of its fun...

Opening word documents fails
I have a laptop that will not open links to word docuements off of a website.
Get and error that IE was not able to open this Internet Site. That the
document is unavailable or cannot be found.

Visited links not changing colour
Greetings all,
I'm using IE6 and XP and for some strange reason visited links have suddenly
stopped showing as visited (ie. no longer changing from light blue to dark
blue).
It's not specific to any site and it's happening on all the ones I've
recently tried.
Does anyone know what the problem could be and if so how to fix it please!?

is an address I never went to before, and does not show up in my history. I
have tried clearing history but it doesn't work. I run Mcaffee firewall and

Cannot download IE 7 with my IE 6
Whenever I try to update IE 6 with IE 7, the installation box does not
appear. Instead, I get "The Page Cannot Be Displayed." I've tried this
multiple times and can't get an installation box ever. Is this a problem with

uninstall & reinstall internet explorer 6 SP!
I need to uninstall IE as it's unusable, constantly getting msg "Internet
Explorer has encountered a problem & must shut down'. Have tried to
uninstall using Control Panel, Add/Remove programs, but it will not delete.
It only allows me to try to repair (which didn't help) or to 'add a
component'. Help!
