To me, reposting information is superfluous. It only makes the thread
longer, and harder to follow in my eyes...especially if you are
interleaving information.
MSIE has been reset...this did not help.
When this (or the previous) update is removed, IE functions as before.

IE clipping some containers at 1500px
Someone in our portal implementation group asked me to take a look at a
problem they have been having, and I suspect IE is the culprit.
One of the business processes is represented in the portal with a flowchart
that exceeds 1500 pixels in width, and IE always truncates the containing
DIV at *precisely* 1500 pixels. Firefox and Opera do not.

I could not post to the original thread, so I have to update this way.

Why would IE6 not write a cookie?
I have two machines that use IE6 (all updates), and both will not
write an "Accepted" cookie to the TIF/Cookies folder.
One runs on W2K, the other on XP SP2.
What could cause this?

toolbar/verizon, getting rid of
I had to re sign with verizon, well I never install the extra toolbars, but
somehow this snuck in.
Is there a way to get rid of it?

ftp display does not follow the system locale conventions
My system is set to Romanian locale, that means 24 hours, time separated
with :, date separated with ., comma for decimal separator, etc..
When viewing ftp locations with Opera or Firefox, the date and time of
displayed items are correctly represented on my system, for example [file]
4.109 KB 16.05.2007 14:27:00.
However, when viewing the same with IE, the English representation is used,...

IE6 will not open a link
Hey folks. I am on a helpdesk, and had a case come in that has be
baffled. A client is on a stie, and is clicking on a link to other
sites, and it will not open the links. it wont open it with right
click and open in new window, it won't open it with straight clicking

backup, controlling deletions of favorites
Twice now, I have selected a single ink in a subfolder to delete, and have
found that I eliminated the entire subfolder! This is HIGHLY frustrating!
How do I backup my favorites list so I can simply repair the loss?
And how do I get better control over which links I delete?...

Cannot print the image to actual size
Hi friends,
I have an image(.jpg) with the size 22" x 22.5". The image is
opening in IE perfectly. When I print, its printing only portion of
the image and in the print preview also, its showing "Page 1 of 1".
My paper size is A4 on HP Laser Jet 1200 PCL. I want to print this
image in multiple papers i.e full image is printed in sequence of A4
papers. So that I will combine all paper...

Word Viewer 2003, Outlook Web Access, and IE6
XP Pro SP2. MS Office is not installed. Only PPT, XL, and Word 2003
Viewers are installed.
I'm using IE6 and Outlook Web Access to open a public folder email
account.
The email message has a Word97 .doc attachment.
I double-click the email message to bring it up in another browser

IE 6 loading blank page
I have 2 users running XP sp2 and IE 6.0, there is a certain intranet page
that always open blank for them. If i remove Internet Explorer from
add/remove programs and click on the favorite from Windows Explorer it opens
fine. If i reinstall IE 6, the errors occurs again. I tried doing the
regsvr32 fix and still doesnt fix. I havent reloaded SP2 yet but not sure if
it will fiox the prob...

Backing up Bookmarks
What file are the IE bookmarks kept in? I have a backup system where I need
to specify which folders to back up and can't seem to find where IE keeps the
bookmarks. I don't want to have to use the export bookmarks feature every
time before I back up. Is there a specific file that I can always backup, so
the bookmarks are protected?...

inbox home page
I was wondering how to set your home page to be the inbox of your email. I
am using an email server that uses outlook as its basis but must be accessed
through an online site. I know you can set it as your home page because i
have friends that have it as their home page. Also, my computer does not ask
me/store my email and passwords even though i have all the autofill options
selected...

Safe Search keeps switching on

stop "about:blank" from opening a new window.
How do I stop the href = "about:blank" from opening a new browser ?
We have several HP systems that when I call the above code works fine
and the right window becomes blank and I can write to it.
But, I have one brand new dell that opens a new window with every
call.
I know there is probably some reason for this behavior, but is there

setting to prevent it or test for it ?
