Flash & Shockwave plugin problem
I must've done somethign a while back to where I might've accidentally
uninstalled both my flash and shockwave plugins. Simply reinstall? It's not
that easy as you think. I have tried several attempts to reinstall these two
plugins. They still show up on a website that uses flash content as if they
weren't installed. How can I fix this problem? Thanks!

IE displaying old pages
hi,
my computer was behaving a little odd yesterday, and so some of the internet
settings were fiddled around with, so i dont know whats been changed.
however since yesterday whenever i use internet explorer to view a website
the page comes up with all the old stuff that was on the webpage yesterday.
therefore for every webpage i have to keep pressing Refresh to get today's
news. ca...

ActiveX problem
I am trying to download a video of a game i purchased from nba.com Instead
of the active x control popping up I get an error on page message where I get
this prompt:

Char: 13
Error: A problem has occured in retrieving the Digital Rights Management
machine identification.
Any suggestions?...

IE6 Displays all typed text Backwards
recently on my machine every website i visit in IE, shows text
backwards. for example. i'll go to google.com and type in cars to
search. What actually shows up is srac and i hit search. it'll search
under srac (cars backwards) this happens to every single site.
if i use firefox there is no problem. i can type in word and
everyother program but IE. Any ideas?

Download failures and temp files
I am not the most educated administrator" on the block. By virtue of being

IE6 active window on top question
When I am browsing in IE6 and have instructed one window to load a certain
page, while that's loading, if I go to a second page, the first window opens
back on top when it is loaded, regardless of whether I am done with the
second page or not. Is there a way for me to set IE6 so that the window
loads but doesn't come to the front while I am on another window until I am
ready to view it?

Glass background during Ajax call.
Not sure if this is the correct news group but I had to start somewhere. On
some sites I visit I noticed during a apparent Ajax request the entire page
background changes (glass look) and an image appears obviously indicating
sometype of Ajax processing is taking place. A site that does this is

Private Key for certificates
How can I know and manage my private key? I want to have a second certificate
for my brother's account in the same bank, but when I try to install it I

Different behavior observed when diff. IE proxy setting options us

Printing HTML Code Not Text and Pictures
Suddenly, when I send an internet page to the printer, it prints the HTML

Cannot close the door to ibm.com
Internet Explorer 6 has a setting in Internet-Options, Content,
Internet-Restrictions. In this tab I can setup IE in such a way, that I can
browse to ONLY the domains that I have entered in this list. (kiosk-mode)

All of a sudden I cannot get onto a frequently used web site. The web site

can't open jpg files In Outlook Express
I cannot open jpg files in Outlook Express. Get message there is no program
attached to open them. Have Paint Shop Pro which can open many kinds of
files. Says to go to options and associate a program to use to open files
but there is no place in there which will allow me to do this. Can open gif

Internet providers
I recently changed IP's, Bellouth to AOL. Now I can't get Internet Explorer
to work. It keeps saying I'm not connected, but I am. It also says "Internet
Explorer Provided by Bellosuth". Will Internet Explorer only work with
Bellsouth? Do I have to Download another version?

When I try to open some web pages with my IE 6.0 I always received message:

You don't have permission to access / on this server.
