Some sites do not load, most do. Confused
I have XP, IE6, SP2, and NIS 2006.
Some sites do not load properly. Pages with pictures etc only show some
text, whereas the page loooks fien on my old computer with ie6, sP1.
I've checked firewall, and there's no sign of the page being blocked. I've
marked it as a trusted site. I don't now what else to do. It doesn't seem to
be an issue with SP2.
Any ideas?

The login prompt do not remember the password
The login prompt do not remember the password when we use Auto complete in IE
6 (version: 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633)
We use Auto complete and "prompt me to save password". The NET 2.0
application only remember the user name. The password field is empty on the
..NET 2.0 application login prompt. When we use
version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gfe.070227-2300, or IE7 It's no problem.

IE 7 6-5-07 updates muck up app?
I switched to Opera and noticed an immediate speed increase in opening
windows, searches, etc. Under IE7 (where's the IE 7 newsgroup?) the "working"
spinner would start and there'd be no connection for up to five minutes. And
more often than not IE would say it couldn't load the page. So, did the
recent updates screw up IE& or has the web been crappy for the past few weeks?

Whenever i visit the site http://www.piczo.com and log on to edit my site it

Setting Helper Application for an unusual file type
Hi,
I would like to create a web page with a link to a .ab1 file and have
ie launch an appropriate helper application when users click on the link.
The application I wants to something called SeqMan

Internet downloads
Can't find a fix for this problem anywhere else...
Running XP Home and IE 6. When downloading off the internet, files are
opened as text files. When I "save target as", the file wants to save as a
jpg file. I can workaround the file save problem by adding the ".exe" to the
filename.

Default Text Size?
Greetings,
Every time I fire up a session of IE6, the text size defaults to
"Smaller". Is there a way to set this so it defaults to something else,
so that every time I fire up a session, I don't have to go View | Text
Size | Medium?
PS it would be nice to have it default to Medium since it affects the
Help files in MS office, among other things....

I don't want to use 'index.dat' at 'Content.IE5'
As you know, Index.dat file is a store for web related things; the
URL
content cache, cookies, RSS feeds, and visited links.
By the way, I don't want to use that file. My application make out
lots handle for opening 'index.dat' until server is dead. I think
'index.dat' file is corrupted in the case 'index.dat' file is not
closed, when explorer try to write some data to 'index.dat'.

Temporary Internet Files
I have found a folder in C:\Documents and Settings\*****\Local Settings and
another one in C:\Documents and Settings\*****\Local Settings\Temp
I haven't noticed this before - any thoughts?

Can't delete Favorites
When I try to delete a few favorites that I've bookmarked, I get a window
that says, "Cannot delete file: Cannot read from the source file or disk."
Is there a way I can get rid of these unwanted sites I've saved without
deleting the entire folder?

Internet explorer version.x.x
Hi all,
Although my internet explorer says that I installed version 7 (7.0.5730.11),
many websites tell me that I run a old version of IE so I cannot see that
website. I guess something in my registry is messed up. But I don't know
where to look. I run Windows XP Pro SP2.
Same thing happened when I had IE6.
Anyone of you have any clues?

Ie6 won't browse
Desktop icon doesn't have an OPEN option. But I can open from Start;
Program Files; Internet Explorer. I can get to my "home" (default) page,
but I cannot browse anywhere.
Does somebody out there have an idea what's going on?

Cannot print right side of web page
This seems to be a generic defect of IE6: When I print a website that has
text close to the right margin, my printer cuts off at the right margin and
I get a print-out of a web page with the right 2 inches missing. The website
looks fine but the printed page cuts off the right two inches.
Is there a way around this nuisance? Does Firefox do this, too?

Cannot set print margins
I am using XP SP2 and IE6. Under File->Page Setup, my network printer is
showing 0 for all four margins. I am not able to change these. If I do try to
change them, they revert back to 0 again the next time I select File->Page
Setup. I have tried changing these values in
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\software\microsoft\internt explorer\PageSetup, but the
values I enter in here are not shown und...

No Standard Toolbar in IE6
My IE6 only shows an icon bar consisting of the back, forward, refresh
and History buttons that work OK, but no Standard Toobar (File, Edit,
View, Tools, Actions, etc.), nor any other toolbars, just an address
field. Other icons show but the balloon functions show incorrectly.
Even Right Clicking on the empty space to the right of the icons does
not bring up a menu to turn on any toolbars.

Saving an ActiveX control instead of Installing it
I can't find any info regarding this issue.
When you click on an ActiveX Install link on a web page, you get the
Yellow Info Bar at the top of the browser. You can right-click the
bar and select Install the ActiveX.
Let's say I don't need to install it, I just want to download the

IE does not open at bookmark!
Hello
I have this problem.
When starting new IE page programmatically, the IE page opens the proper
page but it ignores bookmark, however when I insert the same address
directly into IE, the webpage opens properly at bookmark.
Why is that difference?

IE desktop icon creates shortcut instead of launching brower
When I open the desktop IE icon shortcuts are created. All other IE .exe
work fine and if I make a shortcut of them they it work as well. I have
tried removing the icon and placing it back on the desktop through the
desktop settings but the same thing happens.
This is not that big of a deal but it really bothers me that it does not work....
