GP setting for "Check for newer versions of stored pages"
Hi all, I need to modify our Staff group policy object so that when they open
up a particular internet page, IE checks for newer versions of stored pages
"Every visit to the page". On a client machine this can be found by going to
Internet Options > General > Settings.
Can this be done via Group Policy? I am struggling to find the correct
setting.
Thanks in advance....

Need to automate workstation tasks
Hi,
Are there any GPO's or tools that I can run from Windows 2003 Server that
will do the following?
1) Run a little program I already have at 18:45 that warns the user the
workstation will be logged off unless the user performs some activity.
2) Detect if a logged on workstation has been idle for the past 15 minutes
and if so, log them off at 19:00.
3) Set "cleanmgr.exe /sageset...

shop pc
does anyone have any suggestions on how to set up an XP computer to run one

preferably so that when it starts up no login in needed the app starts
itself (which does require a login to a non windows server by the way).
I thought maybe there would ...

Disable run files when downloading in IE.
Dear all.
I'm having a problem finding a GP for disabling the option in IE, when you
click a download link you can "run" the file. I can disable the option to
save the file, but not the option to run the file directly. Is this posible?
This is pretty vital for me on this system :)
I would really like some help here. ...

problem loading desktop
I posted a message on the general Windows 2003, but this may be more
appropriate.
We are running roaming profiles and some of the desktops don't fully load.
It goes to a blank screen. I can access the task manager, but not the start
menu and windows exporer doesn't show up in the task manager. I'm uncertain
if this is an OS problem or a roaming profile problem.

Force Windows to manage wireless network
We have tablets that runs on Intel wireless cards and want only Windows to
manage the wireless network. Everytime someone new tries to log onto a
tablet, it wouldn't let them because it defaults to the Intel management. Is
there a way in group policy or in local Windows registry that can change to
have Windows manage the wireless? Thanks in advance....

IE6 Print Button Disappeared
Hello,
I've been finding my way through the creation of a GPO for a set of
public computers at our company.
It seems that i have changed something to make the print button in
Internet explorer 6 to go away. I'm not sure how to get it back.
Users can still click file > print, but many people are complaining
that is too many steps.
Any help would be greatly Appreciated!

Server 2003: Terminal Server Software Restriction Q
Not sure if I'm in the right place.
Replacing a 2003 terminal server. The existing server has a program
that runs via a remote executable (on a mapped share) - works fine.
The new server will run launch the app if logged-in with Admin rights,
but normal users cannot launch the app.
I'm guessing it's a software restriciton blocking remote executables -

Maybe my previous post called

How can I make it so users will get "Log Off" as the default choice when
they go to shut down their computers instead of "Sleep", "Restart", or
