how to use group policy to block all logons from every user in an
Greetings All,
I have an OU where I put disabled user accounts for several months before
deleting them and I would like to set a group policy setting that would
prevent any logons for users in this OU. Part of the problem that I am
trying to solve is that the help desk staff is very fond of the "find" window
and they simply do a find for all user accounts so that they have a long A-Z

Applying security templates
1) In Windows 2000, there are 2 ways to apply a security template --
use the Security Configuration and Analysis snap-in or use the
secedit.exe command. Does anyone know if these 2 tools use the same
code to apply a template? Basically what I want to know is this: if
some bugs exist in the Security Configuration and Analysis tool for
applying templates, will those same bugs be present in th...

Default RSS feeds on Outlook 2007 adm template
I am trying to add default RSS feeds via GPO and have had success adding them
except for one. I can't seem to add a Sharepoint SSL site. I can add them
in IE7 manually and they show up in Outlook 2007 without any issue. However,
if I enter the RSS feed for the Sharepoint site I get no results.
I read the article on the TechNet site on how to change the URL from http://

We have a Windows XP Tablet PC on our domain. When the administrator logs on

However any other users are unable to as it is greyed out.
I've checked group policy and the proxy settings in there are correct.

unable to add TCP port range in firewall GPO
I want to add a tcp range exception for one host, but the range are quite
large, about 2000 ports. Maybe you could open all ports for one host ? I've

2000 ports one by one it's not so nice.
I saw another newsgroup question/answer and there it said it would be
