What is the procedure for removing NET Framework 2.0?
Hi, I installed NET Framework 2.0 in order to use a program. The program still can't run without installing another program, which I don't want to do. I don't and won't need NET Framework 2.0 for the other things that it is used for, i.e., developing code. Since I'm no longer in need of it, how can I completely remove it from my computer? It's not listed in Add/Remove Programs and th...

Vista won't restart/shutdown
I have been using vista since beta2 but this problem only began in rc1 and retail version that I now use. It started with an acpi driver update, and I have tried reverting/uninstalling the acpi with no change (probably some other problem) so it was probably a coincidence. Anyway, the problem is when the machine shuts down it passes all of the shutdown screens and turns off the monitor ...

64 Bit Registry Uninstall Information
I wrote an MSI package that used the path found at HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0\InstallLocation to determine where the .NET bin directory was installed. However, on 64 bit systems, that path no longer exists. Where is the new location which gives the uninstall information on a 64 bit system, so I can find the installation path?...

Upgrade from 32 to 64-Bit Vista Home Premium
I purchased a laptop and it is a 32-Bit Home Premium and I got a program (TuneUp) which claims that I have a 64-Bit processor. My question is, how do I upgrade from 32 to 64 and what would happen. My processor is 64-Bit but maybe some other important hardware on my computer is 32-Bit and will not allow the upgrade from 32 to 64 and will not work any more. Is there some program written by...

Belkin FireWire 800 F5U623-APL Card in Windows x64
I want to install a Belkin FireWire 800 F5U623-APL card in my Tyan K8WE (S2895) motherboard. From the looks of the card on the Belkin site, it is a 64-bit card, and it should work in a PCI-X slot. Re: Can I install XP Home on a virtual PC without a licensing snafu
Although your rational may seem sound, it's really trying to split hairs. The EULA was written before virtual machines were practical for home use. The reality is that to install and use any version of Windows in a VM requires it to be Activated in the same manner as a non-VM installation and Microsoft only allows you to have one instance of a Product Key activated at any given time(...
