OneCare Backup and CheckDisk
"Keith Howie" <khowie[ at ]shaw.ca> 02.07.2007 02:08:17
Hi,
I recently installed OneCare on my new Dell notebook. When I tried to do my
first OneCare backup, after selecting my destination disk (on the network),
the system tried to start a scan of somekind on the source disk. A message
soon reported that my source disk contained corrupted data and advised that
a CheckDisk scan had been scheduled for the next reboot.

I rebooted the system and the CheckDisk scan reported that the disk was
clean. I went to OneCare and tried the backup again with the same result.
Now CheckDisk starts every time I start or reboot the system.

Has anyone seen this happen? Is there a fix? I want to be able to get
clean startups without the CheckDisk scan and also be able to actually get a
backup through OneCare.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
Keith

Hi Keith, open a command window and type in "chkntfs /x c:" without the
quotes. If you continue to have issues with backup contact support. How to
