Outlook removes Windows Live Mail as my preferred Email program. knotmyline 12.07.2007 01:16:00 I have automatic update on my computer and whenever there is an update for Outlook it decides that it needs to be the preferred Email program (in Internet Options). Who the heck thought this was a great idea? Will someone please slap the crap out of that person! Can you tell I don't think much of this "Feature". Idiot! Ron

Tbird is my default, and nothing takes that away when I get the updates. I also have XP Pro and just remembered that prior to my use of WLM I used Outlook Express and Outlook always removed that as my preferred email too. Imagine a situation where you are usually not running as an Administrator user account - you cannot change that setting from your every day user account, so you have to log off once you notice the change, log the Administrator on, change that setting, log off and log on again with your user account for working.
