Outbox
grace7 12.07.2007 16:00:00
May have been asked but I cannot find it if it was. When sending mail, and I
get an error that it did not go out yet---I cannot see an outbox---or where
the unsent mail is waiting---anybody got a clue?

Strange, outbox should appear by default in the newest build.
If you're running a slightly previous build you had to turn outbox on by
using the view/storage folders menu option.

Unsent mail will actually be residing on your computer under :-
C:\document and settings\[your windows login]\local settings\application
data\microsoft\windows live mail\on this com cc\outbox

You can manually delete it from there if you wish.

Thanks Colin. I am running the 8.0 Beta version. I have several mail
accounts, none have the Outbox folder. I have looked under View and other
menus and see no option for it. Suggestion?

You should see "On this computer" near the bottom of the View menu. Select
it, and a bunch of folders should appear at the bottom of the Folder pane.
One of them should be "Outbox".

The version you are using is out of date and may stop working with Hotmail
altogether sometime soon, so it would be a good idea to visit
http://get.live.com/betas/maildesktop_betas
and get the latest Windows Live Mail beta, currently version 12.0.1184.
