Hello all. I've got a GPO that's been around since before me that locks some semi-public computers down pretty good. The problem I have is that all programs (firefox, notepad, adobe acrobat, etc.) seem to be able to the desktop except Office programs (Word, Excel, PP, etc.). Whenever I try, I get the error "The operation was canceled due to restrictions....blah blah blah".
I get this whenever I try any of the following operations:
- opening document - saving NEW document (I can directly open a document from the desktop and save changes) - changing file 'save as' type - clicking on the drop down location menu - clicking on any of the left menu location icons - probably other things I haven't tried
The GPO, as you can imagine, has TONS of settings. The only extra ADM is for IE7. I've spent hours poring over the GPO and haven't made any headway. I would love any ideas as to where to look. I can give the RSOP, but it's huge.
Thank you in advance.
