Nero software isnt needed in xp,it probably creates more problems/conflicts in the OS than its worth...Also,youre "HP" dvd writer isnt hp,its probably liteonit (mfg).All liteonit cdrw/dvdrw or roms all have firmware updates at the liteonit.com web site.Get the update...
