Sync Toy does not delete folder on the right.
Mugunth 12.06.2007 06:50:02
I moved all the files from a folder on the left to another folder on the left
and removed the empty folder. Now when echoing this to the backup drive, Sync
toy renamed the moved files but failed to remove the empty folder. Have
anyone else encountered this problem?
Another problem of mine is that I use a USB harddrive to back my data using
synctoy. The problem is that, each time I plug in the harddrive, it's
assigned a different drive letter (as I have 4 USB mass storage devices).
Hence each time I've to use sync toy, I've to create a new folder pair with
the same criteria just because the drive letter has changed. Is there a way
to edit the folder pair?
This problem has driven me crazy as I've a lot of exclude folders in my
folder pair. Will this problem be rectified.?

Regards,
Mugunth

I have virtually same problem.

My backup drives are accumulating a lot of empty folders that I have to
manually delete. Synctoy (1.4) deletes the files, but not the folders, why?

To solve your USB drive letter assignment, use the Disk Management tool to
set the drive letter you want.
