Open Type font not accessible in Digital Image Pro
justagirl06 02.07.2007 18:14:02
I've installed these opentype fonts correctly as they are available in other
applications. However, I cannot see them in the list at all in Digital Image
Pro. Anyone know a way to get them to work??

Thanks!

If they don't show in the font list
they are apparently incompatible
or damaged and cannot be used.

More info.....

Searching through some info from the
PIX Team...I found the following.

===
Open Type fonts are a superset of True
Type fonts. They were developed by
Microsoft and Adobe in an effort to put
together a font system that would work
across different platforms, as well as
leverage many new features.

Microsoft Word can support them, but
the text engine we use in our products
is relatively toned down in comparison.
Unfortunately, we do not support these
fonts.

Thank you John, I'm going to go with incompatible since it works in other
applications. UGH, I thought that was the whole point of OpenTypes, being
able to work as if it were a TTF, etc.

Thanks again!

You're welcome.

As you can see in my second message,
Open Type fonts are incompatible with
MS Digital Image products.

Thank you again, I was going nuts trying to find out why I couldn't get them
to show. At least I know it's not me ;) Many thanks!
