Did you restart your Computer after installing the updates?, some updates
you need to Restart for it to take effect.
Try these steps and see if that will help:
1.... Open windows explorer and locate these paths:
C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution = Delete all Folders in the Right
Pane/Window (like download,updates..etc.)
Then this path:
C:\Windows\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\IE.5Content = Delete all here.

2... Secondly, try to clean up your caches, Internet files and delete cookies
by doing this:
Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
For Malware download both these software:
http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad-aware_se_personal.php
http://www.safer-networking.org ; for Spybot S&D

3-... Then Open Windows Update Website and select Custom Option instead of
the Express and uncheck the downloads you don't want and check the check box
for don't show this updates again by expanding the [+] Plus sign beside the
update and install any updates you want or uncheck them all if you already
have them installed.
HTH.
Let us know.
