Strange boot screen
"Billy" <billnospamever1234543[ at ]aol.com> 08.07.2007 17:02:47
When I reboot my XP Home Edit Serv P2, (2 weeks old). I get a black and
white screen during the boot up that says:

Please select an operating system.........*

1. MSFT XP

2. MSFT XP(recover)

While trying to write down all the information, it continued to boot to a
normal startup.

Since I haven't ever seen this msg before, was wondering how to rid it from
my bootup process.

Tks all

PS I did try to install, prior to this problem, software that allowed
different images to be shown during the bootup process and came from PC
Computing Magazine so they should be legit.

*couldn't write down all the info, screen vanished!

There is nothing wrong on this Boot up option /Screen.
You have the bootloader for the Operating system and the recovery Console
which I believe installed by the PC Mag or your PC Vendor.
Any way which you should be concern about is do you have trouble other than
this normal issue?.
Boot is okay and when on the desktop all functioning all right?
HTH.
