COM Surrogate Error with Windows Media Player Kou Zidan <Kou.Zidan.2t9afh[ at ]DoNotSpam.com> 05.07.2007 16:00:22 Hello, this is my first big issue with my computer, so any help would be great in this matter. I am not sure when this started happening, but it seems any music that was on my computer save a handful that were transfered from my mp3 player continue to work. I recieve an error message about COM surrogate and thats it. I've downloaded nothing new that I can think of other than windows updates and the only threads on this problem seem to be for vista. I've been popping through various threads but I can't seem to find anything on my computer that has set this off on other people. After looking into it, it seems that somehow almost all my music that I have seems to be labeled as not having media rights where as that that does isn't.
