No default sound and speaker icon on tray phil 06.07.2007 20:46:02 I'm runnig on XP service pack2 and installed a media player classic with K-lite pack and quicktime alternative to use on Winavi video converter, after installation ,all this pop up questions stated detected broken codes and recommend removed, and I did, when playing rm files in media player classic, the sound was great, then I notice everytime I open or closed a site or programs there is no ding which I set for, went to control panel in sound and try to set it , but the arrow that give you a sample of sound will not stay solid, How can I bring back the default sound from my system without using my recovery disc ? and if I need to use it , how can I just reinstall the sound only so I don't have to reinstalled all that programs that took me 2 days ? also my system restore does not function . There is no sound when playind any website video, only in players which I installed, any help ?
