Start > Control Panel >Sounds And Audio Devices > Properties > Adio > Sound
Recording W make sure you have a microphone selected.
Also, double click on the loudspeaker icone in the systray and then >
Options > Properties > Recording > make sure the mic is selected as the
input device.
