Unable to browse or explore a CD in Windows Xp Home Babis 13.07.2007 12:12:02 I've recently installed Winxp home sp1 and updated to sp2 from Microsoft and the problem is as follows : when i'm doing right click on cd-rom or cd-rw icon on My Computer the My Computer freezes and is needed to delete from Task Manager . As a solution ( guided from the site www.windowsreinstall.com ) i did the the steps My Computer->Manage->Computer Managment screen->Device Manager ->DVD/CDROM Drives->Unistall (each of them)->Action (menu)->Scan fer Hardware Changes --> the drives will be installed automatically and should function correctly but unfortunately they didn't . Instead of that i received a blue screen warning me about a severe damage (but hopefully not after restart). Any help appreciated -- thanks in advance , Babis
