Uninstall old messenger?
Aimee 29.06.2007 01:34:02
Hello!
I recently downloaded Windows Live Messenger, but I have an older version
that seems to be embedded in this Internet Explorer. I really want to
uninstall it because it keeps signing me in randomly, and I like the other
one better.

Any suggestions? I tried going to add/remove programs but it isn't listed.

Thanks!

Windows Live Messenger replaced MSN Messenger.

The other messenger you may have is Windows Messenger.

Both of these should be shown in Add/Remove.

as per the other posting,

inside add / remove programs
there is a windows components
button on the left pane.

there you will find the
windows messenger component
to uninstall.

however, if i may make a suggestion,
if you find live messenger not
all that thrilling, you might like
messenger 7.5 instead and like
me.

just some fyi....
