Access denied - Sole owner

Reformat and Installed SP2. Runs good. Had backed up Favorites and imported
them. But I can not open the Folder - Access denied. I am the only person
owning and using this PC.

When I installed SP2 or did it happened later, I made an error somewhere..
This is maybe the reason that I found in Windows Explorer under Doc & Sett
the following:

-Administrator
-All Users
-Default User
-Jose\Favorites\FAVORITES (here I get access denied)
-José\Favorites\ Here I see only URL which were not yet sorted to put in
Favorites before the BU.

Please notice the é. Both are the same person

Also under José\Appl..\Start Menu\Progr..\Startup\Reminder.wps there is this
file that comes up as required. No show under "Jose"

I wish one or more of the above folder should go.

I started then in Safe Mode looked somewhat at the Administrator account and
I wanted to give myself permission to open the Favorites I had restored. I
did not do anything. Preferred not to touch. Noticed that everybody had the
left squares marked giving them power for everything. Why do I still need
permission? What I read was and again maybe one too many:

- Administrators (Barney\Administrators)
- Jose (Barney\Jose)

-Administrator (Barney)
-Administrators(Barney\Administrators)

-Owner Jose (Barney\Jose)

Consider that Barney is the name of my cat.

How can this be made simple? Thanks.

Access is Denied Error Message:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810881

Shared folder access:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/sdperms.htm

Also read this MS KB article about how to take ownership of files.
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=308421

There is also a utility named: Unlocker
I have not used it but it has been mentioned a number of times.
http://ccollomb.free.fr/unlocker/

Thanks to both of you.I had tried to use 308421 but it only allowed me to get
to the next level and was able to see 30 folders without their content.

Because I have a lot of trouble with my Server - waited today 5 Hrs to get
on the Internet and on the Server's advice and the PCShop I am going to
Reinstall SP2.
