Transfer of files & settings from Win 2000 Pro to XP Pro SP2 .
"David" <cosmosatnointerbaunspamdotcom> 13.07.2007 18:31:11
Hi,

I have three Win 2000 pro PC's that I'm replacing with three XP Pro machines and need some directions to
online tutorials
or advice from anyone here with experience in transferring files and settings from the (W2000) computer to
the new XP Pro computer.

Each of the W2000 machines are presently on a office network running Widows 2000 Server.

I'm looking for a straight-forward, simple approach, if that's possible.

Will an Imaging/Backup program, (such as Acronis) help me achieve the solution?

I appreciate your time,

Thanks,

David.

Thank you, Carey and Gary for your speedy replies and suggestions.

I'll be doing some reading this weekend.

David.
