Problem Reinstalling Windows XP Paul 13.07.2007 15:06:01 I had to replace the hard drive in a Toshiba Satellite A105 notebook and can't get Windows XP to install. I tried using both the Microsoft Windows XP disk as well as the recovery disk from Toshiba but they don't get any further than loading the initial files for set up. Does anyone have any suggetstions?

What exactly happens? Have you tried an alternate CD drive? Also, what happened to the old drive - can it be cloned? HTH -pk
