Hi,
I have a Windows XP Embedded system and my own application added to the Windows startup group for normal users (these are not admin). When I log on as a normal user and next log off before my own application has had sufficient time to properly startup, there is a short temporary system hang and then I get an error messagebox saying "Failed to initialize application because the window station is shutting down". When I next login as admin and open the event viewer I see the following system error for SRService "The System Restore initialization process failed" generated as the short temporary system hang started. How do I get rid of the error messagebox mentioned earlier? Can I safely disable this service for example? What actually made the SRService fail in the first place? Any help would be most appreciated.
