Hello everybody,
I have just installed Windows Xp Embedded on my computer. I did exactly what they said on the website of microsoft. I created 700mb another partition I created image and put in the partition. I rewrote boot ini file and restart windows xp professional. Next I started windows embedded. First my bad fillings was that the logo was windows xp not embedded. Next windows try to install component and each time during the instalation my computer is rebooted. Does somebody any experience and can tell me hwat I did wrong? Thank for any replay.

Hi Nemesis
The logo is ok. XP-Embedded is based on the XP Pro binaries.
To the reboot: Check the Target Device settings under Settings of your image. Also consult the FBA (First Boot Agent) log on the harddisk located in the Windows\FBA\fbalog.txt file to find it out.

Incorrect WinDir: [G:\WINDOWS] should be [E:\WINDOWS]
Is the key to your problem. Change the path in your settings.

Drive letters are always tricky for dual booting. You might want to take a look at this article on dual booting:

Nemesis
Note, that during this early boot-state, no drive letters are known. So the ntldr will count the partitions. Biggest problem to the normal XP prof is, that the CD or DVD ROMs are not counted.

Hello,
Thank for replay. It works now:) How you said it was error of my letter disc. I correct this and Now is ok. Thank for articles.
I have questions still.
1)I would like to check Labview in this system. I have already installed in Windows Xp. Do I have to do again for this system?
2) I saw in tutorials that they added Tweak UI Control Panel applet. I couldn't find this during instalation. Do I creat this somehow myself?
3) I Don't see a icon "system'. Does it exist in windows embedded? I don't have drivers for many hardare adn I would lik eto repair it but I don't know how whitout that icon.
