Build auto-selects default option on some message boxes
Shawn 11.07.2007 18:46:02
The build I created has an interesting bug. It will automatically select
the default item in a certain message boxes. It seems to occur mostly in
yes/no message boxes. When you rename the computer in the System Properties,
normally you are signaled that you will need a reboot to apply the changes
and it will ask if you want to reboot. This build doesn't display the either
and will automatically restart when you exit the System Properties window.
This has become a real problem because to load our software, you are
promoted with a yes/no boxes that defaults to No. When you select No, the
install ends.
I tried looking around to see if anything seemed to jump out at me, but I
couldn't find anything

Any thoughts?

Do you have the Message Box Intercept component in your image?

I did find a "Message Box Default Reply" option and I unchecked the "Disable
MessageBox Popup" box and it works now. I figured it was something easy like
that.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction
