OK, I've figured out how to fix this.
In Windows Explorer, right click "My Computer" and select "Manage"
In the Storage -> Disk management section, select the CD/DVD drive that has no letter assignment.
Right click and select "Change drive letters and paths". Then allocate the desired drive letter (in my case D:).
