I had a problem for about two days were I was unable to view any videos or listen to streaming audio in IE7 that required WMP. Well after trying everything I could find in these post nothing seemed to fix it. My only hope seemed to be to reinstall WMP 11. But as most of you know this cannot be done in Vista. However, I was able to fix the problem and I thought I would share the solution with you guys incase anyone else runs into the problem I had.
What I did was backed up all my documents and files. Then I created a second user account on my machine. Then I went to Control Panel > System > and clicked on Advanced system settings. Then I clicked on settings under the User Profiles and deleted my account. ***When you do this it will delete allof your documents, favorites, and desktop items. It is best to backup your C:\Users\%username% folder so you can restore these files later.*** Then I just recreated my account and everything worked just fine.
