windows for mac barnaby jones 04.07.2007 20:06:02 Hi, I'm a Mac OS X (10.4.8) user and wanted to watch CBS shows online so I downloaded both Flip4Mac and WMP for Mac (eveything, stuff it,etc) but I still can't watch CSI. I checked the settings on the Innertube and it says, "WMP not installed". I checked my applications folder and WMP installer is in there. And why do I have to click on it everytime? Please advise me on what to do.

COnsidering how little you can do with WMP, I would suggest forgetting about it and concentrating on Fli4Mac. Re-download the latest version of the FLip4Mac codecs and reinstall them. They should take care of disabling the WMP internet plug-in (in /Library/Internet Plugins). They might have a script checking for the WMP app itself (which would be BAD) instead of simply support for Windows Media file formats. What's weird is that I just went on the CBS site to check and the videos I tried were all in Flash...No WMP and no Real format. You should be able to use Flip4Mac to watch anything like that over the web.Out of curiosity, do you have an Intel Mac or a PPC Mac ?? On MacIntel, WMP simply doesn't load as an internet plug-in. FLip4Mac does though so it shouldn't be a problem, either way.
