hard drive problems after chkdsk Nerual 14.06.2007 06:42:00 I attached a small 3GB hard as a slave to my machine, in order to back up some files and folders that is important. Then proceeded to upgrade my machine to Service pack 2, as well as add some updates. When I restarted my machine I got a message before the logon screen saying that this slave drive was in consistent and I had to run CHKDSK, which I gladly did, ahen the machine eventually logged on and I was in XP - my slave's files and folders could not be seen. When I right-Clicked on that drive in "My Computer" and go to it's properties it says that the space that those files took up isstill being taken up, the same as when I backed up. HELP!!!! Is there any way I can retrieve this data???? Nerual
