Simple Question (I think)
Conch 11.07.2007 18:54:03
I want to convert audio files from a digital dictation machine to MP3 files
on my computer. All I want to do is plug the device into the Line In port and
capture the playback with Windows Media Player, saving it as an MP3 file. Is
this possible?

No, because WMP doesn't ship with a Line In recording function - but
you could use the free Audacity program to sample that and convert it
to MP3 : http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
