Really? What fault bucket-- http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#bucket were you getting for the previous crash? (Same question to you MarkSky.)
Since the DivX crashes are mostly known, the fault buckets should already be matched up with the solutions here (Don't Run Old Broken Versions of DivX). I'm surprised the error response system didn't bring that to your attention.
