How to make Partition on Win Vista Basic Steven 13.07.2007 01:58:01 My notebook PC come with Win Vista Basic, and I would like to make a partition to store data, how to make it? Is Vista can do it or need 3rd party software?

Generally, most preinstalled systems do not have this and you would have to use the disk management tool (diskmgmt.msc) to shrink the existing system partition in order to achieve this. Once free space exists, creating a partition is as simple as right clicking the free space and selecting the option to create a partition.
