An 'access denied' message usually means you don't have administrator permissions. After you have type 'cmd' into the search box on the start menu 'right' click on the command prompt and select the 'run as administrator' option and the solution again.
The whole idea is to delete the registry key, so when asked Yes/No you would have to type Yes, so you haven't done anything wrong it just seems like a permissions problem.
