Where is Associations Control Panel?
bikerbren 07.05.2007 18:32:01
When opening an email attachment from a friend I get this message: This file
does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create
an
association in the Set Associations Control Panel.
I looked everywhere I could and I can't find out how to set the association.

What is the file extension of the attachment? Save it to the desktop and
then right click on it and choose Open with and then designate what program
should open it.

The file extension for it will be by "Type of file" in the General tab. Hope this helps, Shawn -- brink *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.*

The extension is part of the attached file name.
Double-click on the message with the attachment to open it.
In the Attach: box, you should see the file name.
The extension is the last 3 letters after the period, like .doc, .gif, .jpg,
..htm
