Can I install my old H/D in my new computer rterry302 12.07.2007 23:50:03 The mother board went out in my computer, so I just bought a whole new computer. My problem is that the new computer already has Windows Vista installed and I'm not sure if I can just install my old hard drive from my Windows XP computer; I don't want to lose any of the files I had on the old hard drive. What are my options?

It is unlikely it will boot, so installing it as a slave to access your data is about the best you can hope for.
