SBS2003, DUAL-WAN ROUTER, 2 SUBNETS, ONE TERMINAL SERVER
BrianMultiLanguage 27.06.2007 20:16:03
I have my dual nic'd sbs2003, 10.x.x.x inside, 172.x.x.x to my router. Two
ouside ips on the router. A terminal server at 10.x.x.8. The 10.x.x.x network
gateways to the sbs2003 including the terminal server. See where I am going?
Oh I know.
Change the rdp ports of the terminal server leaving the standard (or vice
versa) ports to the sbs2003 via the router.

Right? woowho!

Is that a yes or a no?

I think the response is something other than a yes or no. Your question (s)
are very unclear so I suggest you try a bit more detail as to what you need
to know or are attempting to do.

Allow outside access to the terminal server(not SBS) while still manitaining
remote admin access to the SBS server based on the configuration below.

I have my dual nic'd sbs2003, 10.x.x.x inside(LAN), 172.x.x.x (INTERNET)to
my router.
Two outside ips on the router, public_ip1 and public_ip2.
The terminal server is at 10.x.x.8.
The 10.x.x.x network(all computers) gateway to the sbs2003 including the
terminal server.
Thanks Steve, I hope that is clear.

Why can't you use a standard RWW setup which allows the outside access to
see both the SBS and the terminal server? I'm not sure how having 2 public
IPs will help you with this.

Brian I'd have to agree with Steve on many accounts
(First your first post was cryptic at best.)

But RWW will do what you want, with No Additional IP

However, what you'd want to do is not possible unless you'd change the RDC
Port of either the SBS or the Terminal Server.
(In your cause the SBS would be the lesser of the evils say 3390) Then you'd
have to Push that port 3389 through the SBS to the Terminal Server

All this requires some custom configuration.
and using RWW is nearly ZERO configuration and it works.

Just add TS server in the SBS
And use http://server/connectcomputer on the TS server and it's done.

When they Connect Via RWW they can connect to the TS server.
(Then you don't have to do all that extra non standard configuration.)

Thanks I'll try that then. We have two data t1's in one router just for fail
over, I was trying to be clear but sometimes the keyboard and brain are not
fully connected. Alas, wtf, certainly didn't help but it was understood.
