NTBackup
Lyn 26.06.2007 14:56:00
Hello All,

Just wondering if it's possible to reinstall just the NTBackup application
in Win2k3 SBS instead of reinstalling the OS.

Thanks,

Lyn

Why do you need to reinstall it?

You can expand the installation file (it's on CD1, in the i386 folder, and
is called ntbackup._ ) but it would be helpful to know why you're trying to
do this.

hi lanwench,

thank you,i'll check this out.

driver & f/w for the dat72 tape drive have already been updated & tape drive
has already been replaced but event id 7 "The device, \Device\Tape0, has a
bad block" error still comes out once in a while in the system event logs of
windows & backup can't be performed

That message has nothing to do with NTBackup itself - it usually means the
tape is bad. Try a backup to file (USB hard drive) instead, as a test.
