I want Jane Doe to send email on behalf of John Smith, but I want the "From" section to show only John Smith's name and not "John Smith on behalf of Jane Doe".
In Exchange '03 I have go to the user, Exchange General, and given the person I want permission to "Send on Behalf". However, whenever a message is sent by Jane Doe it says "From: John Smith on behalf of Jane Doe". How did you send a message from your secondary user and have it only show your primary users email address and NOT **** on behalf of *****?
Regards,
Aaron

Grant them "Send As" permissions in AD U&Cs security tab (advanced view on).

Thank you for the reply. I have made this change in Exchange. Is there anything else I need to check besides "Send As" permissions? When I attempt to send the message now it gives me an error saying, "You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance..."
I have attempted to send to multiple addresses at multiple domains including our own.
Regards,
Aaron

I found this: http://msexchangeteam.com/archive/2005/01/07/348596.aspx
I have followed those instructions and am still getting the same error message. Just FYI.

Do you mean the Security tab of AD Users & Computers of user John Smith?
Does logging off and on or restarting Outlook make any difference?

Yes, that is what I meant.
I have logged on and logged off as well as restarted Outlook and I get the same message.

Aaron

You can also restart your Exchange services on the server, but that will interrupt everyone's work, of course.

I'd rather not bring unnecessary phone calls ;).
Been about a half hour, we'll see how long it takes...

Most welcome. It can take an annoyingly long time, even in a single server environment.
