When I am at home, I establish my connection to SBS and open Outlook 2003. It takes about a minute to bring up all of my messages, etc.
If I open an e-mail and it has a link to a web site, it will not open. If I try to open IE outside of outlook while connected to SBS, I get the page cannot be displayed message.
Is this a known problem? The fellow that administers our network does not know how to fix this. If anyone can direct me to some information I can share with him, I would appreciate it very much!

Hi WAR,
What type of connection do you establish to the SBS server? (VPN, RWW, TS/RDP, Outlook RPC/HTTP, or OWA?)
Where is the installation of Outlook you're opening located? (on the workstation, or server?) Or, are you using Outlook Web Access?

I downloaded SBS connection manager to my tablet PC. When I use it, all it says is that it is establishing a "secure connection". Outlook is running on my tablet.
By doing this, I am able to use an add-in that is not available when I use OWA.

Ahh, you don't need or want that connection, most likely. It's a VPN connection - and you don't need that for Outlook.
Rather than a VPN connection, use Outlook over the Internet. If you go to your Remote Web Workplace, there'll be a link there with instructions specific to your server. Follow those.

Outlook over the Internet is the ultimate answer if exchange connectivity is the question.
