The same thing happens even when the server is not on the network. After further testing tonight have confirmed it's some issue relating to Exchange. Start Information Store and the errors start to occur (total memory sitting around 30% and CPU around 5%). Once the errors appear in the logs a few times you can no longer stop the Information Store either (sits in the stopping state).
No Exchange and the machine runs a dream, like it has been for 15 months ... until last Thursday.
Next test will be to install a hard drive and move the exchnage store to this. Start and see if the issue continues. If not then must be hardware or RAID driver issue (although there are no newer drivers).
Hopefully I can get this sorted soon.
