Activesync errors in event log (11312)
"Christian Mathews" <CMathews[ at ]atrtreehouse.com> 10.07.2007 15:15:22
I'm getting alot of error 11312 in my Application Log.

Source: MSExchangeActiveSync
Category: OMA Push Event Sink

The description is usually something along these lines:

The device information file could not be retrieved from the user's mailbox.
The URL for the item is
file://./backofficestorage/XXX.com/MBX/YYY/Inbox/Subject.eml

XXX= our domain name
YYY= username

This is happening to only one user, and the event seems to be logged after
every incoming email. The user is using a device with WM6, and emails are
coming through via Exchange Activesync.

I can not find any info on this error, anybody have any ideas?

TIA

Is the user trying to connect for mail using OMA?? or direct push from
Exchange

Ok...back to basics a bit
A.) Since you posted in an SBS Newsgroup, we'll assume that this is
Exchange 2003 on the SBS Server? Was Exchange SP2 installed?
B.) Are there other WM5 or WM6 devices which are getting direct push ok?
C.) Since assuming this is SBS, are you using the Self Signed Cert or a 3
party cert?

Sorry, here are some more details:

A) Yes, Exchange SP2 has been installed.
B) Yes, all other devices are getting direct push just fine. Once again,
the user who is generating events in the Application Log (me) is still
getting direct push emails just fine, even though this error message seems
to pop up for every email.
C) I am using a self-signed cert.

Thanks
Christian
